Avoid the
threat of catastrophic Data Loss!
Electronic
data is always at risk. Data-loss
through accident or malicious damage
is so widespread that offsite backup
– which is industry best practice -
is now compulsory in some sectors.
With Aquiss
Datasure, you can forget about
manual backup
Backup your
data on your PC in a secure offsite
data vault. In an emergency, you can
recover the encrypted files from
anywhere you have Internet access.

Are you protected against catastrophic
data loss?
'It's unlikely to happen to us.' But could
you afford to lose your business data? Think for a moment: sales
records, CRM data, emails, reports, accounts, product
specifications, CAD drawings, graphics, personnel records,
software…
Much of this is vital - and it changes every day. It only takes
a hard-disk crash, a computer virus, a stolen laptop, a fire… or
human error. Suddenly, the data is gone.
That's serious, because critical business information may only
exist in electronic form. 50% of companies that lose their data
in a disaster never open their doors again.* Are you sure that
can't happen to you?

How PC backup takes place
On installation, you choose what parts of
your hard drive to backup, using a single-screen interface. This
is always accessible, showing the files backed up and logs of
your backup history. Advanced Backup Rules allow you or an
administrator to set up highly customised backups
You decide what time of day your online backup takes place. If
you aren't online at that time, backup will run when you next
connect to the Internet. You can set blackout periods, when
backups cannot be run. You can also opt to back up automatically
whenever you shut down your PC
Backup is entirely automatic. It takes place in the background
without interrupting your work
New or modified files are encrypted and compressed before
transmission. Even with a 28.8K modem, a routine daily backup
should only take about five minutes
File permissions are backed up, so there's no need to reinstate
custom permissions when files are restored
It doesn't matter where you are. You can backup and restore
24/7, anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Staff
travelling with laptops can still back up daily. If a laptop is
stolen, data from the last backup can quickly be restored on a
replacement machines

How is data stored?
Your data is encrypted using military-grade, triple DES 112-bit
technology before it leaves your computer. No unencrypted data
crosses the Internet. No one can read the files you store on the
backup data servers. Restored files are decrypted on your
machine using your unique encryption key.
You can set your encryption key or create it randomly. The key
for each backed-up PC is stored in secure Key Escrow, so it can
be recovered should you loose or forget it.
You can opt for stronger levels of encryption, up to 128-bit
AES. The service has been designed to accommodate newer types of
encryption and longer keys as these become available.

How do you recover data?
You can recover data with just three clicks - but only if you
hold the access password and encryption key.
You can quickly restore data from a lost or damaged PC to a
different machine.
If you suffer a virus attack or other file damage you can
restore earlier backed up versions of your files.
You can use the backup to transfer your data to a new PC.
When someone leaves the company, you retain access to all the
corporate data on their PC
