What is
Dialup Internet?
Dialup internet access, also known as Pay
As You Go (0845) or Unmetered (0808), is the classic way of
accessing the internet. You get on the internet by dialling up a
local rate 0845 number or a freephone 0808 number.
This means that you are charged for your internet access via
your phone bill on the 0845 dialup (subscription free) or via a
monthly regular fee on a 0808 dialup.
We, at Aquiss, receive a fraction of the amount that you pay to
your telecom's provider on the free 0845 number we use for
dialup. This enables us to provide you with services such as
free e-mail, free webspace and of course free internet access.
You only pay for what you use on the 0845 dialup number. If you
don't use the connection, you don't pay anything. This kind of
internet ISP access is ideal for the casual surfer, for
accessing your e-mail from various locations and for a back up
service if you are a broadband user. The benefit of using our
email systems is that they come with a free anti virus filter
and free anti spam filter.
Why should I choose Aquiss
Dialup over someone else?
Our 0808 dialup internet access is fully v90 and 64k compliant,
and 0845 also supports 128k channel bonding. All platforms are
terminated on to our uncontended dialup network and fully
supported by staff who treat customers as friends.
Signing up to Aquiss requires no commitment from you other than
the minimum contract. In the case of 0845 PAYG this is just 24
hours if required, however in order that we know the service is
in use it would be nice to connect once every month so we know
your account is still needed.
If you would like to sign up to Aquiss, please select from the
available packages, create your account and you can either allow
your PC to be set up by our non intrusive configuration system
or you will be able to configure your own dialup settings.
